Snow and unusually cold temperatures hit South Lake Tahoe, California, on May 9, as one social media user dubbed the unseasonal weather “sprinter”. Footage recorded by @LakeGirl350 shows snow falling in slow-motion in a forest in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday. “JUST in case you think we’re done with winter,” she wrote, “‘Sprinter’ is here.” The National Weather Service in Reno issued a Special Weather Statement on Tuesday, saying there would be “periods of snow” from Monday into Tuesday. The NWS also said that temperatures in the affected areas were expected to be 15-25 degrees lower than normal. Credit: @LakeGirl350 via Storyful
