Cops patrol area after rental car slams into brick wall

Gold Coast police officers were called to Paradise Island after the single-vehicle crash about 7.30am on Thursday, a police spokeswoman said.It’s understood the car, which has been extensively damaged, is a rental.The caller who reported the crash to police claimed several people in the car fled, leaving behind a mess at the scene.But Queensland Ambulance Service stated one stable patient, believed to be a woman, was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital. It’s thought her injuries are not life-threatening.Police officers have been patrolling the area after the dramatic crash.No arrests had been made as of 9am.Know more about the incident?
